FAQs
Why do I need an agent?
Coaches, front office personnel, and executives often have a hard time juggling all that comes with growing in this industry, including negotiating the correct contract in relation to their market value and developing themselves professionally, while focusing on all that is asked of them to improve their team’s on-field success. Not only do ETM clients receive top-notch contract negotiation skills, but they receive an entire service focused on their unique needs on and off the field.
Will An Agent Get Me A job?
No. No agent, advisor, or any other type of manager can promise a job for their clients or “place” clients. ETM will utilize our network and expertise to help facilitate the career strategies that best help you, and while we work our hardest to make sure our clients are prepared for their next step, the job-finding process is related to your unique abilities, your efforts in networking within the sports community, and your role in successfully representing yourself as a viable candidate for a position.
What advantages do I get with ETM?
Clients can rest easy knowing ETM management is available 24/7 via text, phone call, video call, or in-person visit. In addition to our services and nonstop availability, a member of ETM management will visit our clients in person at least once each calendar year. We go the extra mile every day to provide the utmost professional, discreet, and creative services for our clients and their families.
What makes ETM different?
When you sign with ETM, we are strategic partners for life. Unlike other agencies, we will not negotiate your contract, take our payment, and never speak again. ETM clients are family and will be treated as such from the moment they sign.
What if i’m not comfortable with people knowing I have an agent?
Whether you need representation services that are completely hands-on, or you are seeking services that provide advise and consulting behind the scenes, ETM is equipped to handle every situation with our clients’ privacy and discretion in mind. If you prefer to hire ETM to conduct all of our services without disclosing you have representation to coaches, executives, administrators, or peers, we will work with you to understand your situation and make sure you are completely comfortable with the confidential representation you receive.
What will my representation cost?
Our agency’s economic model is based on incentivizing us to identify the right job situations and market value for our clients, while ensuring they receive the services they signed up for. Because each client’s needs and goals are different, we cannot have a uniform commission structure for all clients. Contact us now to discuss your situation!
What experience levels and positions does ETM represent?
ETM’s client list ranges from Directors of Player Personnel and Strength & Conditioning Coaches to Quality Control Analysts and Head Coaches. Whether you are in coaching, operations, scouting, administration, recruiting, player personnel, analytics, athlete development, quality control, or strength & conditioning, ETM is here to service you, your family, and your career.
What factors into my contract negotiation?
Each contract negotiation is customized for each client based on a number of factors discovered during our market research and analysis, which could include job title, job duties, years of experience, job performance, education, salary of others in similar positions/conferences, location, bonuses, etc.
